Finished

FINISHED IS WHEN THERE IS NO BLEATING OF THE SHEEP

FINISHED WAS WHEN THERE WAS A FLOW OF BLOOD.

SOME OF THE OLD TESTAMENT STORIES MAKE GOD LOOK LIKE A BLOODY GOD. THAT PICTURE, SHADOW OR EXAMPLE USED BY GOD IS CONNECTED TO THE CROSS OF JESUS. ONCE MORE WE FIND A STORY ABOUT THE CROSS TUCKED AWAY IN THE OLD TESTAMENT.

WE FIND IT VERY HARD TO BELIEVE THAT ALL OUR SIN WAS FORGIVEN FOREVER 2000 YEARS AGO AT THE CROSS BY THE LAMB OF GOD. WE ALSO FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT GOD DEMANDED ALL THE PEOPLE, CITY OR TRIBE (SIN) WIPED OUT TO THE LAST CHILD and LAMB.

EACH TIME HIS PEOPLE DISOBEYED HIS ORDERS IT CAME BACK TO BRING THEM HARM, PAIN AND MANY TIMES DEATH. THE MAIN FACTOR OF NOT FOLLOWING GODS COMMAND WAS THAT THE ENEMY (SIN) WAS LEFT ALIVE. GOD OUR FATHER DEMANDED THAT SIN BE TOTALLY DONE AWAY WITH.

WHEN GODS PEOPLE MOVED UNDER HIS COMMAND TO TAKE A CITY, EVERY ENEMY (SIN) WAS TO BE TOTALLY DESTROYED (REMOVED). They seldom ever completed a command from God; therefore, they reaped some of the destruction intended for the enemy. Sound familiar? Happen to you lately?

WHEN GOD SENT HIS SON JESUS TO THE CROSS TO TAKE AWAY THE SIN (ENEMY) OF GOD, JESUS OBEYED HIS HEAVENLY FATHER TO THE LAST LETTER OF GODS LAW BY REMOVING EVERY LAST BIT OF SIN FROM THE WORLD.

None of our sin was left in need of forgiveness or any need of our future special handling. We can trust that God did send One to do the job utterly for the first and last time. Let us thank him for it and stop asking that He do it again every sunday. "It is finished". Love Him!

HE LOVED US FIRST. THIS SHOULD HELP US UNDERSTAND THAT WHEN WE STEP UP TO JESUS FOR HIS SAVING LIFE, WE AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE WHAT HE ACCOMPLISHED AT THE CROSS; OUR SIN IS REMOVED AND NONE IS LEFT ALIVE. NO SIN IS LEFT TO COME BETWEEN GOD AND US BECAUSE ALL SIN, PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE WAS REMOVED, PLACED BEHIND THE BACK OF GOD NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN.

God did not trust you and me (like the Kings of old) to get on your knees every sunday to handle forgiveness of sin: therefore, He sent His Son to FINISH the job of taking  away (not cover up) all the sin of the world. Blood must be spilled and ours is not near pure enough to wash away sin. When Jesus took away the sin of the world - would that be including mine and yours? Jesus is alive and sitting with the Father. God the Father says, "go see my Son."

IN DAYS OF OLD GOD ACCEPTED THE BLOOD OF BULLS AND GOATS TO COVER (TEMPORARY CREDIT) SINS. GOD

THE FATHER IN DUE TIME PAID OUR DEBT WITH THE BLOOD OF HIS SON JESUS TO TAKE AWAY ALL SIN (NOT

JUST SINS) AND PROMISED NEVER TO LOOK AT (BEHIND HIS BACK) NOR TO REMEMBER ANYMORE.

YOU ARE FORGIVEN FOREVER. REPENT WHEN YOU MAKE A MISTAKE BUT DON'T ASK FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF

YOUR SIN BUT ONCE. THAT'S ALL IT TAKES AND ALL GOD WANTS TO HEAR.

NOTICE: GOD ONLY DID THE TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF SIN (the enemy) AND ONLY DID IT ONCE FOR ALL FOREVER.

[EXO 23:23] “For My angel will go before you and bring you in to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will completely destroy them. [NAS]

[NUM 21:2] So Israel made a vow to the LORD, and said, “If Thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.”

[NUM 2 1:3] And the LORD heard the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; then they utterly destroyed them and their cities.

[DEU 12:2] “You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations (whom you shall dispossess) serve their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. [NAS]

[DEU 12:3] “And you shall tear down their altars and smash their sacred pillars and burn their Asherim with fire, and you shall cut down the engraved images of their gods, and you shall obliterate their name from that place. [NAS]

[DEU 20:17] “But you shall utterly destroy them, the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite and the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite, as the LORD your God has commanded you, [NAS]

[DEU 33:27] “The eternal God is a dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms; And He drove out the enemy from before you, And said, ‘Destroy!’ [NAS]

[1SA 15:2] “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he set himself against him on the way while he was coming up from Egypt.

[1SA 15:3] ‘Now go and strike Amalek and utterly destroy all that he has, and do not spare him; but put to death both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’

[1SA 15:9] But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and were not willing to destroy them utterly; but everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed.

NOTE: Saul kept what he thought was good sins, but God said destroy utterly all. It took Jesus to get the job done.

[1SA 15:18] (Samual to Saul) the LORD sent you on a mission, and said,’ Go and utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites, and fight against them until they are exterminated.’ [NAS]

[1SA 15:19] “Why then did you not obey the voice of the LORD, but rushed upon the spoil and did what was evil in the sight of the LORD?”

Note: In the old testament sin was the same as today, not of faith. Samual asked Saul why he did not follow God’s command to kill all, and Saul said, I did.

[1SA 15:14] But Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?” [NAS]

[1KI 9:20] As for all the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, who were not of the sons of Israel,

[1KI 9:21] their descendants who were left after them in the land whom the sons of Israel were unable to destroy utterly, from them Solomon levied forced laborers, even to this day. [NAS]

[JOH 1:29] (John The Baptist) = The next day he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! [NAS]

JESUS DID IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME WHAT WE SEE AS A SHADOW OR EXAMPLE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT. THE STORIES OF THE OLD TESTAMENT SHOW US WHAT WE CANNOT DO FOR OURSELVES, BUT WE CAN ACCEPT THAT JESUS COULD AND DID KILL EVERY LAST BIT OF SIN AT THE CROSS WITH HIS OWN BLOOD. THEN HE SAID, “iT IS

FINISHED.” If you are going to continue thinking you can go in and out of fellowship with your Heavenly Father, you must find something else for an excuse other than un-forgiven-sin.

IT IS FINISHED IN YOUR LIFE TOO. JESUS LEFT NONE; THEREFORE NEEDS NONE POINTED OUT TO HIM SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE. WILL YOU RECEIVE THE FACT THAT BECAUSE YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD, ALL YOUR SIN IS FINISHED, FORGIVEN FOREVER. YOUR SIN WAS HANDLED (FORGIVEN-REMOVED) BEFORE YOU CAME TO JESUS.

WHEN YOU CAME TO JESUS FOR HIS GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE, DID YOU PICK UP YOUR RECEIPT MARKED PAID. YOU BY FAITH ACCEPTED THE GIFT OF LIFE AND REMOVAL OF YOUR SIN FOREVER. PLEASE DO NOT KEEP GOING BACK TO GOD FOR MORE FORGIVENESS. THERE IS NO MORE FORGIVENESS FOR WHAT HAS BEEN REMOVED. IT IS FINISHED. JUST THANK JESUS FOR WHAT HE HAS FINISHED AND DON'T ASK HIM TO DO if AGAIN. He left no sin alive nor bleating of the sheep.

[1SA 15:14] But Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?”

[1SA 15:14] But Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?”

If you do not know the account in 1SA 15:00, you should read. It sheds a lot of light on the once for all forgiveness of your sin - past, present and future. Yes, it is Old Testament but it helps to understand what God's plan is for you and me.

As a child of God with all sin forgiven, you ask God forgiveness for some sin you have done, you are sending to Him the same sounds as the "bleating of the sheep". That sheep (your sin) is dead and God your Father does not want to hear it again. What are you saying to God about His Son that took away all your sin.

Repent, yes. To repent is saying to God I have done wrong. God says, "Don't do it anymore!" To repent is not again asking for forgiveness for what has been forgiven when you accepted Jesus.

IT IS FINISHED - PLEASE BELIEVE IT.
